Online Learning Support
The Springfield Public Schools Online Learning Support is designed for children enrolled in SPS this fall and choosing a hybrid schedule. Children will attend DGMS for the 3 days assigned to online school. At Discovery Garden Montessori children will be able to connect virtually with their teachers and we will provide an Online facilitator to help keep children on track and finish assignments. Once they are done with school, children will participate in organized activities inside and outside.
What? SPS Learning Support Program at Discovery Garden Montessori
Who qualifies? SPS students registered on the hybrid or fully online program this fall, who have no IEP’s or a 504 plan. Parents can request an exception to this policy with a full record release and review.
When? 8:00 am – 5 pm. August 24th – Oct 22nd. (SPS First Quarter) If SPS will continue in a hybrid schedule, we will continue our program.
Where? 1515 S. National Ave. Springfield MO 65804 in the National Ave Chirstian Church, where Discovery Garden is located.
How much? $90 per week (Monday – Wednesday) or (Wednesday – Friday)
Time: 8 am – 5 pm
Reduced prices will be offered to those that provide one of the following. Reduced prices are based on donations and grants available.
1.Free/Reduced lunch qualification letters showing participant’s first and last name from student’s school or
2. Letter on school letterhead signed by the school principal that states the student is on free/reduced lunch.
* To support our SPS teachers, we will give preference to those families with a parent that teaches at SPS.
